HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One Printer series - C309
A new printer has been introduced in HP Premium Fax All-in-One line, the HP Photosmart C309. The new photosmart printer is a successor of HP Photosmart C8180 and is a printer that can perform umpteen number of functions. It’s basically a home printer that can be adapted to small and medium offices.
Print resolution in black is average at 600 X 600 dpi but the resolution shoots vertically upwards at 9600 x 2400 dpi for colour prints. The manufacturer claims that the printer is capable of producing lab quality photo prints. The printer features five individual colour cartridges; black, photo black, cyan, magenta and yellow which is an economical solution by itself.
Printing speeds at normal mode are 12 pages per minute for monochrome and 9.5 pages per minute for colour documents.
Connectivity options are aplenty, seriously! It has a standard USB 2.0 for hooking onto standalone machines and to load USB drives for PC less printing. It’s a network printer with Ethernet port for wired networking and 802.11b/g (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth for wireless networking. Bluetooth is usually found in ultra-compact printers like the Canon Pixmas and it is really surprising to see one on a regular home printer. Bluetooth technology is mainly used to source prints from cell phones. Additionally, the printer houses memory card readers and a PictBridge port to offer more options for sans PC printing.
The Photosmart C309, the feature rich printer is currently available in the market and is estimated to cost around £150.
